 ...O.K. that was lame,but I needed to make the obligatory introductory post! *eye rolls* Hopefully Blogger proves to be, for me, the right platform to blog on. As I become a more experienced "blogger" I plan to organize my posts into categories such as my artwork, rants/thoughts/asshole opinions, photography, DIY's, reviews etc. A little bit of everything. You could say I'm a Jill of all trades or whateva~ Actually, I'm not even sure if I can sort blog posts into categories. I'm crossing the proverbial bridges of the blog building world as I get there. I'm doing this more for personal satisfaction rather than building a social following but if it happens it happens :) So with that said welcome to my blog! welcome to my blog! What the heck is a vocabulary parade ? I know, I thought the same thing when I got the newsletter sent home in Aviva's backpack. Apparently its something schools do sometimes. Not just my child's elementary. You pick a word. Any word in the dictionary is fair game. Then you make a costume that depicts that word. The school then invites all the parents to watch the students have a parade, hence the parade part. Everyone shows off their word costumes. -aww! There was a list of words sent home I guess to help get the creative juices flowing. I was looking at the words and thinking how am I suppose to come up with a costume for "obtuse" or "aquatic" etc... This was going to require a little thinking outside the box. On top of that, I had already expended my efforts and budget for costumes making Aviva's Vanellope Von Schweetz costume : P So I needed to be able to make it with stuff we already had. Aviva's rainbow/paint party

Last year my sister in law and I pulled off something short of a miracle. If you throw last minute birthday parties, then you're a miracle worker as well. Aviva wanted a rainbow party for her 5th birthday. Lemme tell you, homegirl is obsessed with rainbows. Instead we took that idea and ran with it mixing a bit of a paint/artist themed party as well. It was colorful, cute and def worth it all.  Let me add that all the things we found were from Party City, Dollar Tree, Walmart, Target, Hobby Lobby and (god bless) Amazon Prime. These places are your best friends when it comes to party decorations.    I think you could never go wrong with streamers. They are cheap, easy to use, come in every possible color and add a little more personality to any celebration.   The clear paint cans and paint brushes were bought in separate sets off of Amazon. I've been partially avoiding this post. In my defense I've also been partially too busy to have the time to sit and type. I don't really want to talk about myself.  I figured, however, that I'd have at least one post solely about me and label it separately on its own. That way it can easily be found under the menu pages at the top of this site. Guys, this is me: ...well forever ago, me, that is. Yes, I had to do a throwback. Circa 2004? 2005? something like that, I was about 10. Wearing my grandma's glasses, sporting a fake mole and pretending I was pregnant with a balloon. If you don't have goofy pictures of yourself printed on Kodak paper from Walgreens, did you really have a childhood? I'm kidding, but solid proof that I was always a weirdo.
