Fourth of July photos

Image
Here are a few takes from a patriotic, "Fourth of July", American themed mini photoset I did for Baby Abby's 8 month milestone. Hope these can help inspire anyone who wants to take that direction with a photo op. The "8 MONTHS" sticker I added with the app "Adorable". Once I can figure out how to transfer photos on my micro SD card from my camera to my phone/computer I'll add more from this shoot. -xo

She fell from a star

...she fell very far. And Kansas she says is the name of the star! I LOVE The Wizard of Oz . Its such a timeless film. Such as Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory , and not the cringey Johnny Depp remake. I don't care if they are "slow" or "boring" to some. Not to mention Dark Side of the Rainbow .  If you don't know what that is, its basic...

However because it's October I thought I'd share some throwbacks from this time last year.  [ A LITTLE BACKSTORY ] For my daughter's first Halloween my husband, Gilbert and I put some thought into what we wanted to dress her up as. We strive for a "no-basic-baby" household : P This got us brainstormin' past the baby pumpkins & cats. The conclusion? What better way to pay homage to our love of seafood than put our baby into a lobster costume! OFF TOPIC: sometimes I think about all the countless sea critters that defied the odds of living until adulthood (or at least to an edible maturity). They survived the peril of the ocean! More than likely though, just the not so life threatening seafood farms. All that survival to amount to being boiled, fried, sliced or eaten raw, for us! Thank you little sea dwellers but I won't stop eating you. I'm sorry, I'm not sorry. We ended up picking u...
