Who is she?

Image
I've been partially avoiding this post. In my defense I've also been partially too busy to have the time to sit and type. I don't really want to talk about myself.  I figured, however, that I'd have at least one post solely about me and label it separately on its own. That way it can easily be found under the menu pages at the top of this site. Guys, this is me: ...well forever ago, me, that is. Yes, I had to do a throwback. Circa 2004? 2005? something like that, I was about 10. Wearing my grandma's glasses, sporting a fake mole and pretending I was pregnant with a balloon. If you don't have goofy pictures of yourself printed on Kodak paper from Walgreens, did you really have a childhood? I'm kidding, but solid proof that I was always a weirdo. A more recent pic I was born and lived most of my childhood in Illinois, near the Chicago area. My family relocated to Texas by the time I started middle school. I've lived there since up until the...

The Baby's flower

Baby Abby asked for a flower from my just-because bouquet, I couldn't say no.

In the beginning

I considered making a separate area of this blog dedicated specifically for more "journal" like content. Inner most thoughts, dreams, pictures, etc. Then I said screw it, this is my blog and I shouldn't have to filter or organize my posts too meticulously. I'm going to keep it to a minimal now that I've learned how to make different labels/pages. So far I added MAKE for crafts and PHOTOS for anything photography related. I might add an ARTWORK section later on. Blogging shouldn't be stressful or difficult. I feel like I'd complicate things for myself if I spend too much time trying to figure out how to label, and sort what, goes where. I don't want to make this a task. I've enjoyed this so far. This is fun:) I wanted to start a blog for quite some time now. It all started with Pinterest.  lol! I'm sure many could relate to that sentence but in different contexts. I wanted to share the things I created with the Pinterest community. What I q...

That one time I decorated a pumpkin...

Image
Story time: Last year my husband's former workplace had a pumpkin decorating contest. He knew it was right up my alley and asked if I would take on the task of completing an entry for him. Of course I'd happily oblige even though he'd take credit for my pumpkin, but we're practically the same person now so...I like to joke with him that whats his is mine, and whats mine is also mine. ah, I love the seƱora life! At the time we had finished binging  Game of Thrones  in its entirety. The biggest perk of jumping onto a series late in the game is you don't have to wait for new episodes to drop every week. We started watching  Showtime's Kidding  and it's been a little frustrating having to wait every Sunday for the next episode. When we get into a show, we get INTO it. I mean we will binge tf out of it. Watching shows that have finished or have multiple seasons out is crucial. Anyways, I'm getting off topic, you'll find that I do this a lot...Here...

This is Halloween!

Image
...but not really. It's only October 8th. However because it's October I thought I'd share some throwbacks from this time last year.  [ A LITTLE BACKSTORY ] For my daughter's first Halloween my husband, Gilbert and I put some thought into what we wanted to dress her up as. We strive for a "no-basic-baby" household : P This got us brainstormin' past the baby pumpkins & cats. The conclusion? What better way to pay homage to our love of seafood than put our baby into a lobster costume! OFF TOPIC: sometimes I think about all the countless sea critters that defied the odds of living until adulthood (or at least to an edible maturity). They survived the peril of the ocean! More than likely though, just the not so life threatening seafood farms. All that survival to amount to being boiled, fried, sliced or eaten raw, for us! Thank you little sea dwellers but I won't stop eating you. I'm sorry, I'm not sorry. We ended up picking u...

F I R S T

If variety is the spice to life then this will be one spicy blog! ...O.K. that was lame, but I needed to make the obligatory introductory post! *eye rolls* Hopefully Blogger proves to be, for me, the right platform to blog on. As I become a more experienced "blogger" I plan to organize my posts into categories such as my artwork, rants/thoughts/asshole opinions, photography, DIY's, reviews etc. A little bit of everything. You could say I'm a Jill of all trades or whateva~ Actually, I'm not even sure if I can sort blog posts into categories. I'm crossing the proverbial bridges of the blog building world as I get there. I'm doing this more for personal satisfaction rather than building a social following but if it happens it happens :) So with that said welcome to my blog! welcome to my blog! Welcome Squidward, Welcome Squidward.... -Short & Sweet
