Extra Guacamole

Hi there sweethearts, hope you had a holly jolly Xmas. Ok, so long time no bloggy, but I've been enjoying my holidays. I put working out on the back burner, and rightfully so. If you didn't eat a bunch of holiday sweets and yummy deliciousness than what is you doing baby? So aside from being away because of festivities I've been gettin' my craft on. I've been sitting on a tub of air-dry clay for over a year now and something needed to be done about that. When Aviva got a paper sent home from school asking for an ornament for her classroom's Christmas tree, I felt this was the opportunity. Now I wasn't sure how this would all turn out but in the end it was a learning experience through the process. I wanted Aviva to take something that was representative of her. We're gonna talk about AZN SNAKS...like *me* juuuust kidding~ If you've ever been to an asian food store/grocer/market then you know the two most prominent sections of the place:  1. The pungent seafood area (try walking past this section without holding your breath, I dare you) and 2. The snack aisle. Oh, behold! The glorious foreign treats and sweets from the orient. Shelves colorfully lined with products in Japanese labels. Also in abundance here; drinks in funky glass bottles and packages with anime characters or ridiculously cute animals. What the heck is a vocabulary parade ? I know, I thought the same thing when I got the newsletter sent home in Aviva's backpack. Apparently its something schools do sometimes. Not just my child's elementary. You pick a word. Any word in the dictionary is fair game. Then you make a costume that depicts that word. The school then invites all the parents to watch the students have a parade, hence the parade part. Everyone shows off their word costumes. -aww! There was a list of words sent home I guess to help get the creative juices flowing. I was looking at the words and thinking how am I suppose to come up with a costume for "obtuse" or "aquatic" etc... This was going to require a little thinking outside the box. Happy Birthday Baby Abby technically she's Toddler Abby now but whatevs. We are blessed to be able to celebrate another year with our sweet girl. She's perfectly two, filled with wonder, curiosity and ambition. She takes naps, but sometimes thinks she doesn't need to. (She still needs to) She expresses her thoughts and emotions in short sentences. She's learning more words everyday. In fact she's like a little parrot. All these emotions can be overwhelming. aka toddler meltdowns. The collapsing to the floor crying, the screaming, the frustrated "I can't" that she tells us ...We'll get past these moments babygirl.
